Some things to be aware of

• Some locations incur a 'Location Permit Fee'. These are charges that the local council or land owners require to hold a photo shoot at that location. Many local parks do not require a permit, however popular locations can be upward of $1000. It's always worth checking as part of the planning process.

• Melbourne weather can be temperamental. If you are planning an outdoor shoot, especially during winter, I suggest always having a plan B, which could be your home or local favourite cafe (cafe owners permitting).

• My sessions are friendly and relaxed, making everyone feel comfortable and at ease, but this doesn't mean you won't get a case of the nerves in the first 5 mins. Just give yourself grace and get ready to just play and interact (there is no awkward prescriptive- posing here).

• The key to arriving at your shoot feeling at ease is arriving early, without the last minute rush.
